Dale Schatz
Dale, the leader of one of L.A.’s most sought-after Jewish bands, has been a professional musician since he was 11 years old, performing in a duo that did local gigs and later as a side for band leaders in bar mitzvahs. He performed around the country and on television with Jon Walmsley of the Waltons T.V. show, doing original country-rock music in the 80′s. Dale also trained as a teacher and worked for synagogues teaching Jewish music, and leading services. Dale taught 14-year-old Craig Taubman the guitar, and now performs regularly with Craig in “Friday Night Live”; leads Sinai Temple’s early family “Friday Night Live” and co-leads Shabbat morning Torah-in-the-Round services. Dale is married to Tracy and together they are raising four children, one in graduate school, two in college (go “Tigers”) and one in high school.
